National Council of Negro
Women, Inc. (NCNW) was founded in 1935 by Mary McLeod Bethune as a national
organization of organizations. As a voluntary not-for-profit membership
organization, NCNW works to improve the quality of life for women, girls,
families and communities across the United States and in African countries.
